He married Donna Mae Gunnerson on August 2nd, 1958 in Detroit Michigan. Mr. Buschert enlisted in the USAF in 1950 where he served in the Korean war. He was honorably discharged in 1954. He went on to work for WJRT-TV 12 and worked for 30+ years before retiring.
Mr. Buschert loved restoring classic cars, playing golf, going to the Kraphol senior center to play pool, but most of all he loved the sport of hockey. Both of his sons, Wade and Kyle, as well as his grandson, Jacob, started playing hockey at a very young age. He even coached a men’s hockey league.
Preceded in death by his wife, Donna, his son, Wade, and grandson Hunter.
Surviving are his children Linda Langschied and Doug Husak of New Brunswick, New Jersey, daughter-in-law Petula Buschert of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Teri and husband Mark Roper of Prince Frederick, Maryland, Jeri and husband Craig Hall of Owosso, Michigan, and Kyle and wife Tracey Buschert of Glen Burnie, Maryland. Nine grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, Leasha, Katelyn, Kari, Jacob, Karter, Andre and Tonya; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ian and Karter, and several nieces and nephews.
