Arrived in Cooktown in 1874 and have lived there ever since. Went to the Palmer Diggings and remained there 6 months left there and went Butchering at Cooktown. Remained there about 9 months then started Dairying and was at that for 3 years. Then went to Maytown to the goldfields. Trooper under ward and Hodgkinson and St George. After that managed a Station for 2 scotsman (N.B. - Northern Britain ie Scotland) at Fairfield Light Station and remained there about 7 years.
Died of Tubercular Leprosy - Aged 49 years.
