Donald Hornbeck Boyer, 72, of Newport News died at home Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007.
He held a BA (Oklahoma Baptist University), an MA (Peabody College) and 90 hours of doctoral work in music education. He served the Navy from 1957-61 and was Vice President of the Tenants Association at the Pine Croft Apartments.
Don is survived by his children, Robert Bentley Boyer, Holly Bee Hudgins, and Twyla Jeanette Boyer; his grandchildren, Zachary Charles Soter and Grace Elizabeth Hudgins; and his son-in-law, Floyd Thomas Hudgins.
Memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at KirkWood Presbyterian Church, Yorktown, Va.
