Sun Advocate December 21, 2006/Emery County Progress, December 26, 2006. Obituary: Art Aragon. CARBONVILLE- Our beloved father, grandfather, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and longtime friend, Arthur Joseph Aragon, age 52, went home to our Heavenly Father on Dec. 19, 2006 as a result of a tragic auto accident. He was born March 21, 1954 in Price, Utah to Abel and Eva Escandon Aragon. Art made his home in Carbonville with his life partner and best friend, Jan Bueno. He had two previous marriages, the first to Stephanie Milkovich, to which they had a beautiful son Joey. He later married Joyce Rich and they had two beautiful children Sarah and Jared. Art was a member of the Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Carbon County where he was a strong supporter of the UMWA. He worked in various coal mines in Carbon and Emery counties and attended numerous union conventions. He was currently employed at Consol Coal Mine in Emery for the past four years. He loved the outdoors and his favorite pastime was heading for the open road and riding off into the sunset on his Harley.

Art is survived by his companion, Jan, Price; loving children, Joey Aragon, Sarah (Adam) Oveson, Jared Aragon; his beautiful grandchildren, Jaycee Aragon, Keirsten and Gracie Oveson; brothers and sisters, Abel J. (Linda) Aragon, Price; Becky (Jack) Marinos, Helper; Richard (Joanie) Aragon, Provo; James J. Aragon, North Salt Lake; Elena Robles, Price; special grandfather, John Escandon, Price; step-daughters, Amanda and Brittany Bueno; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a community of friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Abel Aragon; mother, Eva Gonzales; and dear friend Dave Olsen. Funeral mass was held Fri. Dec. 22, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service was held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell's Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
