William "Bill" David Adams, 95, of Fairview, NC passed away on November 2, 2017. He was born on August 14, 1922 to Howard Avery Adams and Blanche Brooks Adams in Durham, NC. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Arnette Adams; and his siblings, John Adams, Tina Mann, and Avery Adams. He attended NC State University, studying textile engineering. Bill was enlisted in the Marines and the Army during WWII and the Korean War. Bill worked at Celanease Fibers and American Enka, retiring in 1988. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Ebanks (Nathan) of Fairview, Beth Vockley (Jim), and Jan Donadio (Paul); grandchildren, Brooke Rhea (Geoff) of Waynesville, and Dylan Webb Tatum of Winston-Salem; great-granddaughter, Alana Rhea of Waynesville; and niece, Rose Mary Adams of Durham, NC.

A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville with Chaplain Jeremiah Richards officiating.
