West Lebanon, NH—Donna Rae Valliere, 66, passed away January 31, 2013 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. She was born on August 20, 1946 to Robert & Dorothy (Richardson) Valliere in Laconia, NH. Donna graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1964. She was a member of the LHS marching band where she played the trombone and was the band president. Donna was honored to perform at President Kennedy’s inaugural parade in Washington D.C. She was a dedicated employee at CRREL, serving thirty six years, while employed she received an award for her distinguished service. Donna was a founding member of the Upper Valley Community Band and Yankee Brass; not only did she play in the band; she held the position of President, Business Manager and Secretary. She was also a member of a brass quintet.

Donna is survived by her three children, twins, Eric S. Murphy and Kerrie J. (Murphy) Lambert, and son Robert S. Murphy II, a sister Joyce (Valliere) Britnell, brothers, David Valliere and Douglas Valliere, granddaughters, Eilis I Murphy and Anne M. Tetreault, grandsons, Graeme T. Lambert, Brennen S. Murphy and Gage P. Lambert, extended family, many friends and colleagues, whom she loved all very much.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to local musical programs or organizations in her memory. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 27, 2013 at 1 pm in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
