Son of Jan Aert Aersen Middagh and Adriaentje Cornelise Bleijck.
Baptized on 5 October 1679 at Midwoud, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, witnesses Jan Strijker, Agatha Elberts.

Married Maritje Van Dyck (Maria Van Dyke), daughter of Cornelis Hendrickszen Van Dyck and Elizabeth Laeckens, circa 1698.

Witnessed the baptism of Lijsbet Aersen , daughter of Aert Aersen and Elizabeth Andries, on 18 April 1704 at Old First Dutch Reformed Church, Breuckelen (Brooklyn), Kings Co., Long Island, New York, (sponsors Matheus Aersen, Elsje Staats). Note: Elsje Staats is the daughter of Pieter Pietersen Staats and Lysbeth Arensen -- hence the niece of both Aert and Matheus.

Matheus Aersen was named in his father's will dated on 11 August 1708.

Will was dated on 15 September 1714 proved 30 Apr 1716. Matthew Harrison, of Brookland in Kings County, at a place called the Ferry, being of perfect mind. To wife Mary, my whole estate of houses and land during her life, then to my six children, Jean, Cornelius, Matthew, Henry, Elizabeth and Adriantie. Except that my eldest son John shall have a seal ring of gold with £3 for his birthright. I make my brother, David Harrison, and my friend Samuel Gerritsen, executors. Wit.: J. Newbury, Johanes Sebrigh, Simson La Fay.
