Patriarch and Predecessor, having migrated from Palmetto, Coweta Co. GA, in 1857, with family, oxen transportation, animals and goods, to the area now known as Reeves Chapel.
Mr. Bailey bought considerable lands for the time in that area. See also: Handbook of Texas "Reeves Chapel"
Texas. Book: Texans In Gray, page 86 last paragraph and continues on page 87.

In the beginning they had brush arbor meetings the M. E. Church-S- then built a wooden structure, with hitching posts, all preceeding but giving creedance to the place now known as Reeves Chapel Methodist Church, Victorian style building outside Pittsburg, that his daughter Sealey Salina Bailey and Mr. Counce Reeves his S-I-L.

Lige Bailey was married 4 times. 1st to Lundy Townda Steed Bailey interred in what was Old Concord Methodist Churchyard number 2 , now beside the Faircloth Families property in the country out from Palmetto, GA.
2nd wife, Sarah Anna Mayo Bailey, buried beside Lundy Bailey. * Theorized*.
3rd wife, Lavina Redwine, probably on old Dean or Original homestead that once belonged to John W. Bailey his son, along with Elijah Bailey not far from Reeves Chapel, TX.
4. Edna Bacon Bailey, Stayed in Texas??? Not sure what occurred but the remaining children were taken by Steeds as guardians then taken to Cooke County, Texas where they migrated.

Like to locate the old *DEAN *place, not sure if anything could be found but this was not far from the original Elijah Bailey homestead, up the road a peace, which John. W. Bailey lived on East of Reeves Chapel...
Please note that i am putting both Elijah Bailey and 3rd wife, Lavina Redwine Bailey in Reeves Chapel Cemetery, until such time as their graves may be located. Camp County created 1874, from Upshur but more records of Baileys in Upshur County of today.
Happy hunting! C
