Edward Jourdanais, a well-known resident of Cohoes, died after a protracted illness at his residence, 96 Myrtle Avenue. Mr. Jourdanais was born in St. John's, P. Q., and had been a resident of Cohoes for more than fifty years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. He was a painter by occupation and a member of the Cohoes Painters' Union. His wife, two daughters, Misses Mamie and Laura Jourdanais, and three sons, Dr. Louis J., William and George Jourdanais, all of Cohoes, survive.
In the 1900 census, Edward, a painter age 47, is living on Myrtle Ave., Cohoes, with his wife Cordelia, 45, and children: Louis 25, Willie 23, Mary 19, George 17, and Laura 6. Mary must be Cordelia (based on age) who later marries Edward Landry.
