Richard P. Beaulieu, 74, died Sunday, (September 2, 2012) at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Rich was born in Newmarket, NH May 6, 1938 the son of the late Adelard and Laura (Hamel) Beaulieu. He was a graduate of Newmarket High School & Wilcox Tech School and resided several years in Meriden, before moving to Hampton in 1986. He served 8 years in the US Marine Corps. He worked for the Pratt & Whitney Corp and later was maintenance manager for both the Gaylord Hospital and the Meriden Wallingford Hospitals in Connecticut. After returning to New Hampshire he was property manager for Ernie Cutter and drove school bus for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover. Mr. Beaulieu was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church and a member of the Bishop Brady Council 5093 Knights of Columbus and St. Mary's Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Portsmouth. A true beachcomber, he enjoyed walking the beach with his faithful companion Teddy and watching people. He was the husband of the late, Judith A. (Ordy) Beaulieu, who passed in 2007. Family members include a daughter, Brigette Baker and her husband, James Corriveau of Enfield, two sons, Jeffrey S. Beaulieu of Rochester, and Daniel Beaulieu of Brooklyn, NY and Hampton; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Beaulieu of Lee, NH; a sister, Elisabeth Deshaies of New Britain; five grandchildren, Richard Oros, Sarah Beaulieu, Dylan Baker, Alexandra Corriveau and Rachel Pellicane; two great-grandchildren, Jade and Alex; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Beaulieu, four brothers, Medard, Joseph, Louis, and Leo Beaulieu; and sister, Doris Jean.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
