Ruby C. Grotophorst, 79, a resident of Claremont, died Friday at her home. She is an Episcopalian, a member of Laurel Chapter No. 114, O.E.S., and the widow of Waldo E. Grotophorst. She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Grotophorst, Fred W. Grotophorst; a brother George L. Colgin; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, at 2 P.M. in the Claremont Cemetery. Her remains rest at the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Surry Rescue Squad.
