Unkown newborn male found strangled with a cord around his neck in the Greyhound bus station.

Police Seek Locker Killer

Strangulation death of a newborn, red-headed baby boy whose body was found stuffed into a pay locker at the Greyhound Bus terminal, was being probed Wednesday by police.

According to Dr. Sidney M. Connolly of Robert B. Green Hospital, who examined the body, the infant had been dead six or eight hours at the time of its discovery by Miss Mildred Jarrett, terminal station employee, at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday.

A strip of gauze was tied tightly and double-knotted about the baby's throat.

The baby's body was found swathed in a tablecloth, two towels, two newspapers dated Aug. 15, and brown wrapping paper.

Justice of the Peace J. W. Saye, who conducted an inquest, returned a verdict of murder and ordered the body turned over to the Castillo Funeral Home.
