She was born March 26, 1891, at Manchester, a daughter of Fred and Karolena (Wenger) Eggiman. On March 15, 1911, she was married to Charles Joseph Orr at Manchester. Mrs. Orr was a member of the First United Methodist church, Women's Society of Christian Service and the East Side Mothers club.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mary) Thomas of Mediapolis, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Burns of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Richard (Arlene) Seager of Milan, IL, Mrs. Frank (LaVonda) Miller of Burlington and Karolena Orr of Ft. Madison; three sons, Lloyd Orr of New London, Paul Orr of Mediapolis, and Joseph Charles Orr of Burlington; one brother, Fred Eggiman of Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Grapes, Mrs. Emma Preussner and Mrs. Minnie Petlon, all of Delhi; twenty-two grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sep. 5, at the Weir-Cookes funeral home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial was in the Kossuth cemetery at Mediapolis.
