. Florence L. Borkowski, 100, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Southfield Village, South Bend, Indiana.
. She was born on October 6, 1912, to the late Casimer and Victoria (Duszynski) Dolniak in South Bend, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Dolniak & Bernice Dolniak; and two brothers, Joseph and Valentine Dolniak.
. Mrs. Borkowski was retired from Wilson Brothers, where she worked for 24 years.
. On October 4, 1952, as Florence L. Dolniak, she married Clem T. Borkowski in Rolling Prairie, Indiana. He died on August 25, 1995.
. She is survived by two nieces, Elleen Wroblewski of South Bend, Indiana, & Dolores Flory of South Bend, Indiana; and two nephews, Norb Dolniak of Mishawaka, Indiana, & Dan Dolniak of Highland, Indiana
. Florence was a member of Holy Cross Parish, St. Adalbert's Rosary Society, and the Felician Sisters Auxiliary.
. Her family would like to thank Southfield Village and their nursing staff for the exceptional care which they provided to Florence.
. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.
. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael C. Mathews, C.S.C., officiating.
. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
