Waldo Allen, 69, of 8 West St., long a resident of this town, died this morning at Farren Memorial Hospital where he had been since May 1.
Born Nov. 3, 1896, in Shelburne, he was the son of Sylvanius and Mary E. (Moore) Allen. He had lived 45 years and was a clerk at Galvin's Package Store for many years before retiring.
His wife, the former Rena Dean, died Feb. 2, 1966.
He leaves a son, Robert, of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Grogan of Natick and Mrs. Sylvia Hassett of Greenfield; and five grand-children.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the McCarthy Funeral Home with Requiem High Mass at ( in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.
