Victor Alvara went to be with the Lord peacefully on a September Monday, with his family by his side.
He was a proud Korean War veteran and worked for the Port Hueneme Naval Base for 33 years. He was known to be very hospitable, charismatic, and he loved to laugh. Victor was a die - hard Dodgers and Lakers fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, six children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews which he loved so very dearly.
Most importantly, he was a man of God and loved the Lord with all his heart. Having Victor John as the patriarch of our family is a blessing from God.
