Diana was born on July 2, 1948 in Topeka, KS to Philip A. and Alice Dahlston Schmidt. She moved with her family to the Kansas City area at an early age. Diana graduated from Oak Park High School in 1966. She married Wesley G. Adams on July 6, 1974 and they made their home in Overland Park, KS. Diana worked for the Federal Government and the U.S Postal Service for many years before retiring in 1989 because of disability. She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. She became a diabetic at age 12 and bravely fought the ravages of the disease for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents. Diana leaves behind husband, Wesley G. Adams; daughter, Aimee Sears and husband, Jerry, Shawnee, KS; son, Scott Adams, Shawnee, KS; brother, Dennis Schmidt, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Karen Lowe and husband, Tom, Lee's Summit, MO. and Phila Moss and husband, Michael, Hollister, MO; three grandchildren, Bryan, Jordan and Kaylee Sears, and many extended family members and special friends. Diana and her family always appreciated the excellent medical care she received in the recent years, and most recently the gift of organ transplantation. Diana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sorely missed.

She will live in your hearts forever
She left you precious memories
Her love will be your guide
She will live on through your family
She'll be at your side.
It broke your hearts to lose her
But she did not go alone
Her part of you went with her
On the day God called her home.
