Louis F. (Luke) Gustafson, 55, Mediapolis, died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at Memorial hospital, Burlington.
He was born October 26, 1915, in Des Moines county, the son of Herman and Mary Holm Gustafson. On April 14, 1946, he married Fern Nelson. After her death in 1961, he married Helen Coon August 11, 1963. A farmer, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, World War II veteran, director of Des Moines County Mutual Insurance, and a Huron township committeeman.
Surviving: wife; two sons, Keith, Des Moines, and Wayne, Burlington; two daughters, Carol and Gayle, at home; brother, Sam, Mediapolis; and sister, Helen, Mediapolis.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Immanuel Lutheran church, Reverend John Meyer; Kossuth cemetery. The body is at Fry Chapel.
