Belva Susan King was born in February 1887 in Texas, the child of John Cothern King (age 37)and Mary Alice Thompson (age 26). She married Willie Edward Davis on May 19, 1906, in Navarro County, Texas. They had five children in 15 years. She died on March 7, 1923, at the age of 36 during childbirth of a set of twins. One twin passed away at the same time (Bernice) and is buried with her.
