Reported age at time of death was 2 years, so evidently born about 1879. Son of Joseph H. & Mary Ann (MARTIN) BARR, who married 07 NOV 1878 in Lee County, Alabama. Willie evidently died in Browneville, the name of which was changed to Phenix City in 1889; it was in Lee County at that time.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: [child of?] W. B. BARR died aged 2 years of fever; buried 15 MAY 1881 in Section C, Lot 128 [sic -- should be Lot 828, where his mother and a number of other BARR relatives are buried] - Sexton Abraham ODOM. The original burial record shows he was born in Alabama, died aged 21 months, and was buried as a non-resident of Columbus.

The 1880 census of Browneville, Lee County, Alabama, Dwelling #39 / Household #43, shows:
BARR, Joseph H./head/male/21/GA/GA/GA/married/works in a cotton mill
(BARR) Mary A./wife/female/20/GA/Ireland/GA/married/keeping house
(BARR) William/son/male/9 months/ b. in Aug./AL/GA/GA

This grave is probably not identifiably marked.
