Rachel Boyle Baird, daughter of John and Margaret Jane McNamee Boyle, was born April 22, 1864 in Ontario, Canada and passed from this life April 17, 1957 in Mooreland, Oklahoma; age 92 years, 11 months, and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to Harry Burris Baird on October 3, 1888 in Bennington, Kansas. To this union three sons were born, Andrew, Joseph and John Albert. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.
She moved to Pawnee County, Oklahoma in 1894. In 1906 she moved to a claim in Woodward County, north of Mooreland. In 1916 she moved to Mooreland where she has resided until her passing.
She became a Christian early in life and was a member of the United Brethern Church. She united with the Methodist Church in Mooreland and was one of it's most faithful members.
She will be remembered by her son John Albert Baird of Mooreland, Oklahoma; two brothers W. W. Boyle of Pawnee, Oklahoma and Dodd Boyle of Halston, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
