ALLREAD RITES SET
Funeral services for Charles Eugene Allread were held Friday afternoon at the Waggener and Campbell chapel by the Rev. James Schackel of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church of Columbia Falls. During the services Bill Carr sang two hymns accompanied at the organ by Mrs. J. M. Carlson. Friends acting as pallbearers were Vern Byrd, Harold Richmond, Bill Verrall, Jerry Marquardt, Donald Habel, and Robert Richardson. Burial was made in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery where military rites were given by the veterans organizations.
Charles Eugene Allread was born Dec. 31, 1936, at Great Falls to James Oscar and Lillian McGriner-Allread. At the age of four he moved with his parents to Kent, Wash. where he lived eight years and attended school. In April, 1948, the family moved to Martin City where Mr. Allread completed his schooling.
On June 6, 1951, he married Miss Ruth Thomas at Bremmerton, Wash. After service with the U. S. Navy they made their home at Martin City and Mr. Allread was employed as truck driver in logging operations.
He died Jan. 23 in a logging accident in the South Fork while loading logs.
Mr. Allread is survived by his wife Ruth and four children, Gary, eight, Joyce, seven, Debbie, five, and James, one; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Harlache of Martin City; his father, James Oscar Allread of Berkeley, Calif.; his grandfather, James Otto Allread of Swan Lake; his grandmother, Mrs. Caroline McGriner of Maple Valley, Wash., and one sister, LaDonna Allread of Martin City.
