Jimmy Lee Maddox was born July 26, 1941 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Ray Maddox and Mabel (Bowman) Maddox.
He passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 75.
Mr. Maddox had been a longtime resident of Weleetka and a Weleetka High School Graduate. He and Linda Smith were married October 22, 1960 in Dustin, Oklahoma. Mr. Maddox served his country with the United States Airforce for over 20 years before retiring. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially “ruff housing” with the kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Maddox and two brothers, Bill and Jerry Maddox.
He is survived by his wife Linda Maddox of the home; one son, Eric J. Maddox of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Melanie Green and husband Mike of Altus, Oklahoma, Teresa Williams of Weleetka, Oklahoma and Brenda Boatright of Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters in law, Marilyn Maddox of Henryetta and Donna Maddox of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Lawrence Cousins, Jackie Mills, James Williams, Randy Smith, Stephanie Boatright, Brent Smith and Bobby Maddox.
Honorary bearers include Glenn Crawley and James Clem.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev. Dewayne Davis.
