Elizabeth M. Acord age 83 of Durand passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso.
Elizabeth was born February 28, 1933, in Byron a daughter of S.O. and Mary (Steel) VanWoert. In July of 1954, she married Emmet Acord. He preceded her in death in 2006. Elizabeth was a member of the 52 Club in Byron and she enjoyed doing Word Search puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Sam) Mogg, Rosetta Acord, Curtis (Linda) Acord, Tim (Tina) Acord, Emmet Acord and Tom (Lenora) Acord;
grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Nemitz, Jamie (Shane) Cornelius, Erick (Jolin) Mogg, Autumn Acord and Shannon Acord; many great-grandchildren (expecting one great, great-grandson); 4 sisters and 1 brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet; 1 granddaughter; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday, August 18, 2016, with Pastor Russell Hubbard officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso.
