Graveside services for Norman Rudolph Adams of Van Alstyne, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, August 17, 2016 at Van Alstyne Cemetery with Chaplin Kyle Felker officiating. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 14 at the age of 82 years.

He was born to Thomas E. Adams and Nellie M. Adams in Anna, TX on February 20, 1934.

Norman was a self-employed painting contractor. Norman loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Norman loved to fix anything he could get his hands on. He also loved to take his grandchildren riding on his lawnmower.

Norman survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Adams; sister, Shirley Belden; two sons: Tommy Adams of Lucas, Texas and Alan and Phyllis Adams of Denison, Texas; two daughters, Carol Owen and Brenda Adams of Van Alstyne, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
