Doris was a retired school bus attendant for the handicap for Gary Public Schools with 35 years service. Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church in Crown Point, IN. She was born June 8, 1921 in Francesville, Indiana to Lola and Elmer Tetzloff. Doris was a resident of the Glen Park Area of Gary for 45 years before moving to Merrillville. She was a former member of the Gary Teachers Union #4 and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Merrillville Unit #430. She was an active gardener at the Ahepa Apartments and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and she loved making crafts.
Doris was preceded in death by Husband; Walter in 1978, Parents Elmer and Lola Tetzloff, 2 sisters: Leona Degner and Alice Barkley and beloved friend, Janice Waugh.
