NOCONA – Emily Ann (Cardwell) Beddingfield, 76,
died July 16, 2016.
Family visitation was July 18 at Jerry Woods Funeral
Home Chapel. A funeral service was at 2 p.m
July 19 at the First Baptist Church in Nocona.
Interment followed in the Nocona Cemetery. The
Rev. Duane McClure officiated.
Born to Louise (Jennings) and Shirley Donald
Cardwell on Aug. 19, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Beddingfield
was raised in Lubbock where she graduated from
Lubbock High School.
While in the sixth grade at Posey Elementary, she
met the love of her life, Ray Beddingfield. They eloped
after graduation and celebrated their 58th wedding
anniversary on July 13, 2016.
Beddingfield had a number of different jobs
throughout her life. She was always an active volunteer,
volunteering for the Ladies Auxiliary at Nocona
Hospital and for any and all activities where her
children participated.
Beddingfield is survived by husband, Ray; son Jess,
Houston; daughter Tonya Erwin; and three granddaughters.
Memorial donations may be made to The Carpenter
Shop, 400 Boston, Nocona. Arrangements entrusted
to Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
