Megan Alfonzo, 13, of Duluth, GA, a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend passed away on January 4, 2012. Megan was an 8th grade student at Hull Middle School in Duluth. She loved to dance, cheer, tumble and make everyone smile with her beautiful smile and funny faces. Megan had a strong faith in God. She loved life and being surrounded by friends and family. She was our sweet angel.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard & Donna Gallagher, she is survived by her parents; brother; grandparents; three aunts; two uncles; and seven cousins.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard & Donna Gallagher, she is survived by her parents, Joe & Kathy Alfonzo; brother, Joey Bielik; grandparents, Joseph & Eileen Alfonzo; aunts, Peggy & Chris Van Aken, Teri & Kevin O'Hara, Jean & Larry Coleman; uncles, Robert & Kathy Gallagher, William & Ann Gallagher; and cousins, Brad, Bob, Allie, Chelsea, Claudia and Sophie.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9th, at the Catholic Church of St. Monica in Duluth. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8th, at the funeral home.
