Mr. Willie King , quitely laid down his guitar and his musical talents and bade the world good-bye on January 1, 2015 in Goldsboro, NC.

Mr. King, born in Wayne County, was the son of the late Oliver and Annie Kinsey King and the widower of Angelene Robinson King, who passed Dec. 24, 1998.

He joined Shiloh Presbyterian Church at an early age and later attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

His musical passion began when he started playing with the Blue Notes of Kinston, NC. His talents began to flourish, leading him to become a professional musician. When he left home, he first played with the Bright Stars of Chicago. He mastered the piano, trumpet, guitar, organ and keyboard.

He was very talented and his musical career led him to play professionally with other artists such as, Clarence Carter, Major Lance, Jimmy Long, Otis Redding, Solomon Burke, Mary Wells, Betty Wright, The Marvelettes, Dee Dee Sharpe, Candice Staten and Della Reese.

As he continued to grow in music, he also grew spiritually.
