Ed was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Bereavement Ministry, and a Bingo volunteer.
Both he and Millie volunteered at the annual Fun Flair.
Beloved husband of 72 years of Mildred M.; loving son of the late Edmund and Margaret Giel; adored father of Edmund G. (Cynthia) Giel, Jr., Patricia A. (Frank) DiFiore, Thomas P. (Collene) Giel, Donald L. (Clare) Giel, and Janice M. Giel; cherished grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of 7; brother of William P. (the late Jean) Giel and the late Marie (LaRue) Wilson; brother-in-law of Jean Hall, Bonita Bailey, and the late Betty and Bernie Seneway, Grace and George Cupples, James Egler, John Hall, and Thomas Bailey.
Friends were received at the Frank F. DeBor Funeral Home, Inc., 1065 Brookline Boulevard, Monday 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection.
