Todd Lewis Axt, 55, of rural Denhoff, passed away on August 4, 2016, at his farm home north of Denhoff, North Dakota. The funeral service will be held on August 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in McClusky, ND. The graveside service will be held at Westheim cemetery rural McClusky.
Todd was the father of Philip, Chelsea, and Teaa Axt. Todd grew up on a farm near McClusky, ND, He was the sixth child of Doris and Leon Axt. Todd was born on October 7, 1960 in Bismarck. He graduated from McClusky High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983.
Todd married Tina Triebwasser on June 16, 1985 and they raised their children in the Bismarck area. He earned a degree in drafting from Moorhead State University and worked as a draftsman in Bismarck/Mandan. Todd has always had the heart of a farmer and he returned to farming and ranching. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered and loved for many reasons: his sense of humor, his deep, resonating laugh, and his uncanny nature with animals. He was a dedicated, hard-working individual with a talent in resourcefulness.
Todd is survived by his children, Philip, Chelsea, and Teaa; his seven siblings, Leona (Richard) Lochthowe, Patricia (Frank) Ryan, Gail Murphy, Faye Axt, Gary Axt, Dora (John) Ofsthun, Holly (Terry) Roubal; his mother, Doris Axt; and many nieces and nephews.
