Mrs. Martha Lou Rider Anderson, age 83 years, a resident of Junior, went home to be with the Lord, Friday May 29, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.

She was born on March 29, 1932 at Junior, West Viginia, a daughter of the late Clarence Doyle and Rosa Nell Moore Rider. On January 13, 1947 at Junior, she was united in marriage to Paul Lester Anderson who preceded her in death on April 27, 1999.

She is survived by four daughters; Tammy Freeman and husband Joel of Junior, Debbie Hicks and husband Raymond of Junior, Paula Poling of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Donna Schindele and her loving companion George McConnell of Baltimore, Maryland, one sister; Patty Nutter of Jane Lew, West Virginia, one brother; Philip Rider and wife Sue of Weaver, West Virginia, fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two son-in-laws; Dave Poling and Chris Schindele, five brothers; Keith Ervin Rider, Duane Rider, Rev. Doyle Neil Rider, Clyde Edward Rider, and Rodney Glen Rider, two sisters; Juanita McCauley and Donna Rider.

Mrs. Anderson attended the schools of Barbour County and was a member of the Weaver Church of the Nazarene where she was an active Sunday school teacher. She was a homemaker and loved spending precious time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much. She also loved to camp and enjoyed being outside. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N Brandenburg Street in Belington, from 5 – 9 pm on Saturday May 30, 2015 and again on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 8am – 12pm. At that time Mrs. Anderson will be moved to the Weaver Church of the Nazarene where friends may call from 1-2pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted with the Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hillyard Cemetery near Weaver. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Weaver church of the Nazarene P.O. Box 122 Junior WV. 26275.
