Born and raised on the family farm in Fosston. He would serve in WW2 with the Regina Rifle Regiment. He would marry Evangeline Mahlum and they would be blessed with five children. Dwight, DuWayne, Trudy, Lori Lynn and Lee. He worked as a miner in the town of Lynn Lake Manitoba where he would die in a drowning accident in 1967
