Helen B. DeGennaro, 96, formerly of Rose Avenue, passed away the morning of July 16, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on July 13, 1920 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Sophia Johnson Domrad. On August 6, 1942, she married her beloved husband, Larry C. DeGennaro Sr., and the two of them spent 61 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on February 29, 2004.

In her earlier years, Helen worked for Dowd's and then for Shenango Pottery. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Helen enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her children, Laura Mansfield and husband Phillip of Slippery Rock, PA, Sandra Cooper and husband Dan of Dallas, TX, Greg DeGennaro and wife Linda of Santa Rosa, CA, Larry DeGennaro Jr. and wife Patti of Kunkletown, PA, Joyce Maravich and husband Eli of Pittsburgh, PA; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Danny Cooper and Charles Mansfield, and brothers, Stanley and Ted Domrad.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, officiated by Very Reverend Father Robert Guay.

Interment will take place in Madonna Cemetery.
