Myrtle was a direct descendant of John and Betty More's Jonas line. She was the youngest of seven children born to George McLellan More, a marble dealer at Stamford, New York, and Frances Elizabeth Barlow More. There were complications perhaps with Myrtle's birth and she died shortly thereafter. Her mother died five days later.
