John "Corky" Wheeler Daut, born March 31, 1928, died on Monday, July 11, 2016.
Mr. Daut is survived by his sons, John N. Daut and wife, Rebecca and David B. Daut and wife, Gail; daughters, Valerie L. Daut and Becky A. Brown and spouse, Richard; sister, Neila Martin; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie V. Daut.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2016 at
Brookside Funeral Home Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston,
Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the funeral home chapel.
IInternent will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Prairie View, Texas.
Brother Corky was a valued member of Waller Masonic Lodge # 808.
He was a Past Master of the lodge and work as a long time Secretary.
He also published “ The Small Town Texas Masons E-Magazine” on line for anyone to read. He also put out a news letter for the Waller Lodge. Corky was working putting out American Flags on the 4th or July when he fell and injured his head and causing his death. Waller and Texas Masons will greatly miss him and his great spirit.
Corky lived to be 88 years, 3 months and 11 days old.
