Joseph Bartel Hileman, Jr., 48, 2025 Parkway Drive, No. 54, Altoona, died Monday, Feb 28, 2000, at her [sic] residence, following a brief illness. He was born March 7, 1951, in Altoona, the son of Joseph Bartel Sr. and Jeanne (Selwitz) Hileman. He married Becky McElwain Jan. 15, 1985 in Henderson, Ky. Mr. Hileman was empoyed as a stock clerk for Weis Markets. He was a 1969 graduate of Altoona Area High School. Mr. Hileman was an Army veteran of Vietnam, serving as a specialist 5. Surviving are his wife of Henderson; a stepdaughter, Suzanne of Henderson; a stepson, Robert of Henderson; his parents of Altoona; and two sisters: Barbara Hofer and Betsey Counsman, both of Altoona. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are by Scaglione Funeral Home.
