Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Joseph Cullen of Alachua died Tuesday when their car struck a train here. Mr. Cullen, 37, was born in Gainesville and had lived in this area all his life. He had served in the U. S. Air Force, and was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Cullen are survived by three daughters, Mrs. Angie Vaughn of High Springs, and Kimberly Ann Cullen and Emily Alyce Cullen of Alachua. Mrs. Cullen is survived by her mother, Mrs. Jeraldine Hooten of Kingsley Lake; her father, Lewis Jernigan, Sr. of Jackson, Mississippi; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Stella Jernigan of Gainesville; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Reid of Savannah, Georgia, Mrs. Julia Martin of Jackson, Mississippi and Miss Linda Hooten of Green Cove Springs; and one brother, Lewis Jernigan, Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services for Mrs Cullen will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, June 17, 1976, at Huggins Copeland Chapel with Rev. Herman O. Boyette conducting the services. Burial will be in Hague Cemetery.
