Record producer, manager. Billy Mack "Bill" Ham was born in Waxahachie, Texas. Originally a solo artist, Bill Ham released two singles in 1960 (Big Lucas and Wanderer, both on Dot Records). Soon after he was employed as a record promoter for Bud Dailey Distributing in Houston, Texas. During this time he became the manager for Moving Sidewalks, which consisted of future ZZ Top member Billy Gibbons.
Bill Ham was the the manager and producer of ZZ Top, serving in this capacity beginning in 1969 until 2006.
In 1969 he founded the record label Lone Wolf Productions. Ham continued to work in the music industry until his death in Austin, Texas.
