Father of eleven children: Elwood Jr., Frank, Harry Peter, George, Edna, Irene, Ruth, William, Florence, Marilda, John Lucas.

Elwood Hendershot, 70 years old, of Whitehouse Station, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon from a heart attack suffered while digging a garden.

He was born in Potterstown and had always resided in that vicinity. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Hendershot; five sons, George of Riverdale; Elwood Jr., of Flemington, Frank of Annandale, and John and Harry of Whitehouse; five daughters Mrs. Irving Scribner, of Chester; Mrs. Irene Cubbley, of New York; Mrs. Marilda Burd, of Califon; Mrs. Wilma Kirk, of North Branch; and Mrs. Ruth Smeaton, of Whitehouse; a brother Benjamin, of South Branch, and two sisters, Miss Emma Hendershot, of Vineland, and Miss Anne Hendershot, of Lyons.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Seals Colonial Funeral Home in East Whitehouse with the Rev. Henry F. Senne, pastor of the Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Lebanon.
