Sheppard, Calvin Francis- It is with great sadness that the family of Calvin Francis Sheppard announces his passing on January 30, 2014 at the age of 74. Predeceased by father Selby, mother Alice, and brother Gordon. Leaving to mourn children: Caroline (Ben), JoAnne (Randy), Maureen (Bill), Fred, Irene (Graham), Sharon (Steve), and their mother Geraldine. Also Bradley son of Anne (deceased); five grandchildren: Melissa, Brenda, George, Cayleigh, and Peyton; cousins: Alice, Elizabeth, and Gerald and their families and also extended family. Also mourning his loss Colleen, Sandra, Kelly, Danielle, Carla, Billy, Lisa, Brittany, and Brooke. Visitation available prior to funeral service on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 10am- 1:30 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Barrett's Funeral Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery, Waterford Bridge Road. There will be a reception at Barrett's Reception Facility following the interment. A second Memorial Service will be held for Calvin's West Coast family in Whistler, BC. No flowers or viewing by request, donations may be made to The Diabetes Foundation or The Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family wishes to thank special friends and caregivers Grace, John, Wayne, Jim, Jimmy, and Shirley, and the doctors and staff at 7 West St. Clare's Mercy Hospital.
