Mr. Jacobson worked as a marine clerk, loading and unloading ships, in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the Long Beach, CA American Legion. He later became a member of the Holiday Island Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
On July 3, 1964, he was united in marriage with Carol (Crook) Jacobson, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Susan and husband Cary Cook of Gatesville, TX, three sons; Craig Jacobson of Holiday Island, Gary Jacobson and wife Shelly of Las Vegas, NV, and Christopher Jacobson and wife Angela of Irvine, CA; six grandchildren; Ashley and Seth Cook of Gatesville, TX, Christian and Devin Jacobson of Irvine, CA, Kirsten Jacobson of Las Vegas, NV, and Rylee Emrick of Ontario, CA; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Kathryn Wills, Mary Jo Friend, and Pearl Mott; and two brothers; Roy Jacobson and Raymond Jacobson.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Holiday Island Community Church with Allen Thrasher officiating. A celebration of life will be held after the service at the Holiday Island Elks Lodge. Memorial donations may be made to the Holiday Island Community Church, 188 Stateline Drive, Holiday Island, AR 72631 or to St. John's Hospice-Berryville, 214 Carter Street, Berryville, AR 72616.
