Don Carlton McCorcle was born on 11 Mar 1932 in Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas.42,52 He served in the military between 1951 and 1953 in US Air Force. Radio operator on B-29 combat crew during the Korean conflict. He graduated in May 1963 from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. Received B.S. in Industrial Engineering Between Jun 1963 and Jan 1992 he was an Engineer and Engineering Manager in Collins Radio/Rockwell Int'l. Started at Collins Radio/Rockwell International in Richardson, Dallas County, Texas on 3 Jun 1963 and retired 31 Jan 1992. Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, number 31005, awarded on 30 Oct 1970 by the State Board for Professional Engineers.

Don died on June 14, 2016 at 7:15 AM a few miles from his home (in assisted living home). He was officially pronounced dead at 9:01 AM by the Medical Examiner's office. Cause of death was congestive heart failure.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry McCorcle in Dallas, TX; his son, Matthew McCorcle in Dallas, TX; his two sisters, May Dean "Deanie" (McCorcle) Elliott and Betty Jo (McCorcle) Curtis. He also leaves behind three grandchildren. His funeral service was held in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park on 6-19-2016.
