James "Henry" Lemley was the son of George W. Lemley and Jane (Hannah) Lemley of Madison Co., AL. He married Emily (Milly) Eleanor Harless on 22 March 1893 in Madison Co., AL. They moved to Texas, lived there for several years and then moved to Arkansas. They had four daughters, Jessie Myrtle Melzina (died as an infant), Cassie Lou Jennie (married Alex M. Ainsworth), Lovie Lee Anna (married John W. Dollery, Jr.) and Macie Bell (married 1. James D. Ainsworth, & 2. Thomas Kain, Jr). Henry transisioned from farming to sawmill work and moved his family to Beauregard Parish Louisiana. It was there his wife succumbed to illness and passed away. She is buried in Newlin Cemetery, at Singer (Beauregard Parish), LA, beside her parents (J.W. and Melzina Harless). Shortly thereafter, Henry moved, with his daughters, to Matagorda County Texas. His three daughters married in Texas. Henry married again and moved to Broken Bow, McCurtain County Oklahoma where he lived the remainder of his days.
