Robert Lee Holden was laid in rest Tuesday afternoon in Hopewell Cemetery following rites at the Hopewell Baptist Church. The Rev. James Hancock and the Rev. Buren Hughes officiated.
Pallbearers were Julian Olliff, Jimmy Gatlin, Johnny Gatlin, James Bozeman,Robert Holden, and Johnny Walker.
Mr. holden died Sunday night at Vereen Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months.
Mr. Holden was a native of Gilmer County but had lived in Colquitt County since 1919. he was a retired farmer and a member of the Berlin Baptist Church.
Survivors are son Clyde L Holden, Route 6 Moultrie, three daughters, Mrs Audrey B Barlow and Mrs. Mary Lee Barlow, Clearwater, Fla. and Mrs Frances Olliff, Route 5, Moultrie; a sister, Mrs John Collins, Cartersville; 18 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren.
