Ms. LaShay L. McFarlin was born in San Diego, California, the daughter of Leonard (Codda) McFarlin and Carolyn Elliot (Novak). At a young age she moved to Midland where she attended Midland Public Schools participating in basketball, softball, and track. LaShay was a kind, warm-hearted soul, whose welcoming smile would light up a room. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior whose spirit shown through in her love for friends and family.

Funeral services for Ms. McFarlin will take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street, with Rev. Randall Hardy officiating.
