Frank Dean Ford, 78, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006 in Abilene. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Rev. Clayton Pennington and Johnny Green will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Frank was born on February 28, 1928 in Ranger, Texas to Forrest D. Ford and Faye Jo Rylee Ford. Upon graduating, he joined the Navy and served two years during World War II, before returning to Ranger to further his education at Ranger Junior College. He was raised in Ranger during the depression. After working as a plumber, he followed in his dad's footsteps, working for Lone Star Gas and in gas plant construction. He eventually formed Ranger Construction Company, Inc. along with two other partners. He retired in 1993. Frank married the love of his life, Ruby Jane, in Anson, Texas on June 30, 1975. He was an avid golfer. Frank had his pilot's license and loved to fly.

Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Don Ford, and one daughter, Faye Dianne Starks.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Jane Ford of Abilene; his sister and her husband, Sue and Johnny Green of Arlington, Texas; son, Frankie Ford and his wife Tina, daughters, Francie Ford Glorioso and Robin Robinson Hicks and her husband Dwain, all of Abilene; daughters, Ginny Pirraglia and her husband Orville of Merkel, Texas, Nancy Miller and her husband Donny of Waco, Texas, Pam Bubolz and her husband Gerry of Mesa, Arizona, Carolyn Wilson and her husband Ed of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Beverly Krupp and her husband Owen of Wichita, Kansas; sons, Kelly Robinson and his wife Debbie of Dallas, Texas, Curtis Robinson and his wife Shelly of Great Bend, Kansas, and Leroy Robinson and his wife Lenore of Rowlett, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Kinder Hearts Home Health for their care and kindness this last year and Windcrest for their loving care these last five weeks. They also express their appreciation to Hendrick Hospice Care. Special thanks to Nesa Love and Michelle Dean for being Franks "buddies". We love you.
