Robert & Carrie lived in Nashville, TN according to the 1900 Federal census. Robert was working on the railroad, first as a brakeman and later as a Conductor. According to newspaper accounts, they lived on a farm outside of Nashville (in the Ridgetop TN area) in 1904, when son Omer married Miss Annie Coenen in Hopkins County, Kentucky.
