On September 18, 1929, she married Raleigh Andrew Underwood. To this union four children were born; three of which are still living. Their son still lives on part of the family farm which he was raised.
They lived their entire lives on the farm in the Sinking Fork community of Christian County. They were active members of the Sinking Fork Baptist Church, where Raleigh served as Deacon for many years.
Both were active in the community events; Annis was a correspondent for the local newspaper in the 1920's for a column entitled "Church Hill Notes" which told of happenings in that section of the county.
She was an upstanding citizen and well liked by all who knew her.
She died in June of 2000, at the age of 96.
She is buried in the Wood Cemetery in the Sinking Fork Community where she lived.
