George W. Slaughter is the son of Joel and Jane Slaughter. He was born in White County, Arkansas in 1852 and died in Arlington TX at the Masonic Home for the Aged in 1936. He is buried at Keystone Cemetery in Arlington, TX. George was married to Cutellia Unknown at one time. He did not have any children. He helped his sister, Mary C. Slaughter raise another sister's daughter, Emma C. Pierson. He lived in Callahan County, TX on the farm that his mother bought when they moved the family to Texas from Arkansas in the 1870's.
